STAR WARS: THE OLD REPUBLIC (PC)

I worked on Star Wars: The Old Republic as an encounter designer.

One of the first things I did on the project was reboot a major feature called Uprisings - think of these as short challenging dungeons.

I familiarized myself with the content by playing each Uprising mission several dozen times, asked around internally to figure out the current state of them, and read forum/community posts until I gathered a greater sense of the feature’s issues. Then I put a plan into action to revise them, learning our internal tools, then rebalancing all the content and making changes in the spirit of the original.

My changes were well-received internally and by the community.

Here’s an interview BioWare did with me about it.

Eventually, I ended up working on the Flashpoint (dungeon) Spirit of Vengeance, tweaking content, set decorating and designing the rancor boss Goldie.

I also participated with the inception of the Raid R-4 Anomaly, working with other designers to figure out the overarching narrative, level design, and the first raid boss IP-CPT.
